I imagine many people who are designing a logo try to imitate logos from already successful brands, of course without actually stealing the design itself. But often the end result is off. There is something that makes it “Feel” wrong, which you can not describe with words.

By evaluating the simplicity, balance, typography, color scheme, originality, scalability, consistency, timelessness, and seeking professional assistance, you can overcome the shortcomings of a bad logo design. Apple is a good example. The original logo was very classy, but probably does not suite the modern tech industry well.

When I say professional assistance, I don’t only mean by asking a graphic designer to make a logo for you. Of course hiring a free lance designer at a place like Fiverr or Upwork to design a logo is a great option.

But rather what I’m trying to tell in this section is to ask people if the logo you designed looks good or not. For example, posting the design on social network to ask what people thinks about it. If you don’t have any audience, than asking an advice on place like Quora or maybe a Reddit can be a good option too.

Try to make 2 or more design, than go post it on the website I mentioned to ask which is better, or just what people thinks about it in general. After all, our aim is to make a logo that looks attractive and makes sense on other peoples eyes, not yours.

It is important to remember that logo designs are the face of the brand. Of course, if you are content creator, the content itself is the most important.

But if the logo doesn’t look professional, or doesn’t align with the type of value the audience is seeking, it may affect the authoritativeness of your brand. And may lose potential audiences.
